The Palestine–Global Mental Health Network & Lebanon–Palestine Mental Health Network invite you to participate in an online dialogue:
Ambiguous Loss / Impossible Mourning: Mental Health Professionals Encounter Suffering—Possibilities for Confrontation
Wednesday, 14 January 2026, at 19:00 Jerusalem, Palestine time
We are honored to host psychotherapists Hussam Kanaaneh and Marie-Adèle Salem, in conversation with Fida Elian, to explore "Ambiguous Loss / Impossible Mourning" as a strategy of oppression—one that transforms the physical and psychological suffering of Palestinians into a tool of domination. Even after martyrdom, the body is wielded as a psychological weapon that fragments family and community.
Through this dialogue, we seek to open space for discussion on mechanisms of psychological sumud and confrontation within our harsh reality, illuminating obscured spaces and strengthening pathways of psychological and social resistance.
We hope you can join us for this critical conversation.
