تعلن شبكات الصحة النفسية الفلسطينية تضامنها الراسخ مع الشجعان على متن أسطول الصمود المتجه الآن إلى غزة. فهذه السفن تحمل ليس فقط المساعدات العاجلة، بل أيضاً روح الإنسانية والعدالة والضمير التي يحتاجها العالم بشدة في هذا الزمن المعتم. ونُدين بشدة محاولات الجيش الإسرائيلي إيقاف الأسطول بوسائل عنيفة.

وبصفتنا مهنيين وباحثين في مجال الصحة النفسية، نعلم أنّه لا شفاء بلا حياة، ولا مستقبل بلا كرامة. ويحمل الأسطول كليهما: غذاءً للأجساد وطوقَ نجاةٍ للأرواح. وهو يقول لأهل غزة المحاصَرين: لستم منسيّين؛ حياتكم ثمينة، ونضالكم نضالنا.

نطالب العالم بحماية الأسطول. وندعو قادة جميع الدول—وخاصةً أولئك الذين يزعمون التمسك بحقوق الإنسان والقانون الدولي—إلى اتخاذ خطواتٍ فوريةٍ وملموسة لضمان عبوره الآمن.

وندعو العالم إلى الدفاع عن الأسطول، ومقاومة كلّ عملٍ عدائيٍّ ضده، وإنهاء هذا الحصار القاسي الإجرامي. إنقاذ الأرواح ليس جريمة. وكسرُ حصارٍ يُجوّع الأطفال ليس جريمة. الجريمةُ الحقيقية هي العقابُ الجماعي لمليوني إنسان. والجريمة أنّ شجاعة من هم على متن الأسطول تفوق بكثير جرأةَ من يزعمون تمثيل دولنا.

تذكّرنا شجاعةُ شعب فلسطين وأسطولُ الصمود بأنّ العدالة، كالماء، لا بدّ أن تشقّ طريقها دائماً.

Statement of Support for the Global Sumud Flotilla to Gaza

The Palestine Mental Health Networks stand in unwavering solidarity with the courageous people aboard the Sumud flotilla now sailing toward Gaza. These ships carry not only urgently needed aid, but also the spirit of humanity, justice, and conscience that the world so desperately needs in this time of darkness. We strongly condemn the attempts of the Israeli military to stop the flotilla by violent means.

For nearly two years, Gaza has endured an unfolding genocide. Tens of thousands of children and adult civilians have been killed—murdered in their sleep, burnt alive in tents placed in so-called “safe areas,” buried beneath rubble, and now slowly starved to death. Hospitals are ashes, schools are ruins, bakeries bombed. Every thread of ordinary life has been deliberately cut so that a people may vanish.

While the United States repeatedly used its veto at the Security Council to block stronger action on protection—and while the United Kingdom and France, both veto-wielding members, often abstained or did not support stronger texts—hundreds of ordinary yet extraordinary souls from across the world have risen up. They come from more than forty nations and six continents, carrying food, medicine, and infant formula—risking imprisonment, injury, even death—to declare that Palestinian lives matter.

The world knows the truth: Israel blocks aid, refuses baby formula, and bans fruit with seeds so no crops may be planted. All this following 16 years of blockade. The deliberate starvation of Palestinians has become a weapon of war and deliberate tool for this genocide. Yet governments stand back as if vetoes absolve them of responsibility. But the General Assembly is not powerless: under its Uniting for Peace mandate, it can convene an emergency session and act where the Security Council has failed.

The flotilla is the opposite of silence. It is humanity’s heartbeat against the machinery of annihilation, fueled by the Palestinian practice of Sumud. It sails not only with supplies but with defiance, with love, with the insistence that every child in Gaza matters, that every family deserves to live. The Sumud flotilla therefore aims to challenge the illegal blockade of Gaza and to open the humanitarian corridor.

As mental health professionals and scholars, we know there can be no healing without life, no future without dignity. The flotilla carries both: sustenance for the body and a lifeline for the spirit. It tells the besieged people of Gaza: you are not forgotten, your lives are precious, and your struggle is ours.

We ask the world to protect the flotilla. We call on leaders of all nations—especially those who claim to uphold human rights and international law—to take immediate and concrete steps to ensure its safe passage.

We call on the world to defend the flotilla, to resist every act of aggression against it, and to end this cruel and criminal siege. Saving lives is not a crime. Breaking a blockade that starves children is not a crime. The real crime is the collective punishment of two million human beings. The crime is that the bravery of those on the flotilla far outweighs the courage of those who claim to represent our nations.

The courage of the people of Palestine and the Sumud flotilla reminds us: justice, like water, always finds its way through.

Die Palestine Mental Health Networks stehen in unerschütterlicher Solidarität mit den mutigen Menschen an Bord der Sumud Flotilla, die derzeit in Richtung Gaza segelt. Diese Schiffe transportieren nicht nur dringend benötigte Hilfsgüter, sondern auch den Geist der Menschlichkeit, Gerechtigkeit und Gewissenhaftigkeit, den unsere Welt in dieser dunklen Zeit so dringend braucht. Wir verurteilen aufs Schärfste die Versuche des israelischen Militärs, die Flotilla mit Gewalt zu stoppen!

Seit fast zwei Jahren verübt Israel in Gaza einen Genozid. Zehntausende Kinder und erwachsene Zivilist*innen wurden getötet – im Schlaf ermordet, in ihren Zelten in sogenannten „sicheren Zonen“ lebendig verbrannt, unter Trümmern begraben und nun langsam zu Tode gehungert. Krankenhäuser sind Asche, Schulen sind Ruinen, Bäckereien wurden bombardiert. Jeder Faden des normalen Lebens wurde absichtlich durchtrennt, damit das palästinensische Volk verschwindet.

Während die Vereinigten Staaten im UN-Sicherheitsrat wiederholt ihr Veto einsetzten, sich das Vereinigte Königreich und Frankreich – beide ständige Mitglieder mit Vetorecht – häufig enthielten oder keine stärkeren Entwürfe unterstützten, haben sich Hunderte von ganz gewöhnlichen und doch außergewöhnlichen Menschen aus aller Welt erhoben. Sie kommen aus mehr als vierzig Ländern und von sechs Kontinenten, bringen Lebensmittel, Medikamente und Babynahrung nach Gaza – unter Einsatz ihres Lebens, in der Gefahr, verletzt oder sogar getötet zu werden –, um zu zeigen, dass das Leben der Palästinenser*innen etwas zählt.

Die Welt kennt die Wahrheit: Israel blockiert Hilfslieferungen, verweigert Babynahrung und verbietet sogar Obst mit Kernen, damit keine Pflanzen gezüchtet werden können. All dies nach sechzehn Jahren der Blockade Gazas. Die intendierte Verhungerung der Palästinenser*innen ist zu einer Kriegswaffe geworden, zu einem Mittel des Völkermords. Dennoch halten sich Regierungen zurück, als ob Vetos sie von ihrer Verantwortung entbinden würden. Auch die UN-Generalversammlung ist nicht machtlos: Im Rahmen ihres Mandats „Vereint für den Frieden“ kann sie eine Sondersitzung einberufen und dort handeln, wo der UN-Sicherheitsrat versagt hat.

Die Flotilla ist das Gegenteil von Schweigen. Sie ist der Herzschlag der Menschheit gegen die Maschinerie der Vernichtung, angetrieben durch die palästinensische Praxis des Sumud. Sie segelt nicht nur mit Hilfsgütern, sondern auch mit Eigensinn, mit Liebe, mit der Überzeugung, dass jedes Kind in Gaza zählt, dass jede Familie ein Recht auf Leben hat. Die Sumud Flotilla hat genau deswegen zum Ziel, die illegale Blockade des Gazastreifens in Frage zu stellen und den humanitären Korridor zu öffnen.

Als Fachleute und Wissenschaftler*innen im Bereich psychischer Gesundheit wissen wir, dass es ohne Achtung vor dem Leben keine Heilung und ohne Würde keine Zukunft geben kann. Die Flotilla bringt beides mit: Nahrung für den Körper und eine Rettungsleine für den Geist. Sie sagt den belagerten Menschen in Gaza: Ihr seid nicht vergessen, euer Leben ist kostbar, und euer Kampf ist auch unser Kampf.

Wir rufen die Welt dazu auf, die Flotilla zu schützen. Wir rufen die Regierungen aller Staaten – insbesondere der Staaten, die behaupten, die Menschenrechte und das Völkerrecht zu achten – dazu auf, sofort konkrete Maßnahmen zu ergreifen, um der Flotilla eine sichere Fahrt zu gewährleisten.

Wir rufen die Welt dazu auf, die Flotilla zu verteidigen, sich jedem Akt der Aggression gegen sie zu widersetzen und diese grausame und kriminelle Belagerung in Gaza zu beenden.

Leben zu retten ist kein Verbrechen.

Las Redes de Salud Mental Palestinas se solidarizan inquebrantablemente con las valientes personas a bordo de la Flotilla Sumud que navega hacia Gaza. Estos barcos no solo transportan la ayuda urgentemente necesaria, sino también el espíritu de humanidad, justicia y conciencia que el mundo necesita con tanta urgencia en estos tiempos de oscuridad. Condenamos enérgicamente los intentos del ejército israelí de detener la flotilla por medios violentos.

Durante casi dos años, Gaza ha sufrido un genocidio en desarrollo. Decenas de miles de niños y adultos civiles han sido asesinados: asesinados mientras dormían, quemados vivos en tiendas ubicadas en las llamadas “zonas seguras”, enterrados bajo escombros y ahora mueren lentamente de hambre.
